BEQUESTS

Home > Giving to CSU > Bequests

Some donors choose to leave a bequest to the University, which is a gift in their will.  All contributions, large and small, will allow the University to continue to offer a high standard of education.  A bequest can be in the form of a;

  • Specific Bequest - This includes assests such as money, shares and bonds, property, books, paintings etc.  Gifts of any kind must be fully described so they can be recognised.
  • Residue Gift - This includes part or all of your Estate (the residue) after you have specified gifts for family and friends.
  • Percentage Bequest - This allows you to leave a specified percentage of your total estate to the University.

Donors may choose to designate the bequest for the general purpose of the University, where the funds will be allocated to priorities of the University at the time.  Alternatively, benefactors can specify what program they would like their bequest to support, such as scholarships, research projects, building programs, equipment or academic positions.

In the case of a designated bequest the Foundation will aim to administer the bequest as strictly to the donors intentions as possible.
