Fish Passage 2018: Albury-Wodonga

This international conference will connect engineers, researchers, water managers and users, educators, funders and policy makers from around the world with an interest in advancing technical and natural fishways, stream restoration and dam removal projects. the event is hosted by the CSU Institute for Land, Water and Society and the NSW Department of Primary Industries.

The is the first time this international confference has been held in the southern hemisphere.

The conference includes sessions on engineering, biology, management and monitoring techniques, considering such themes as:

- 40,000 years of fish passages in Australia

- Challenges for fish passages in developing countries

- Do we need more fish passages?

- Policy, the Achilles Heel of fish passage

- Reconnecting with floodplains and wetlands

and many more.
