Explorations Series: Sky Stories - Community Observation Night

Charles Sturt University (CSU) Orange, as part of the Explorations Series and together with Future Moves, will be hosting a free astronomy event 'Sky Stories', on Wednesday 12 September 2018, 5.30pm-8.30pm, at the Orange Campus in Girinyalanha park.

A free and unique evening of astronomy and storytelling set against the backdrop of Girinyalanha Park.

Experience a traditional Wiradjuri Acknowledgement by Michael Newman and listen to special guest speaker, Doug Sutherland.

Stargaze through a telescope with local astronomers Rod Somerville from the Orange Planetarium and Ray Pickard from Bathurst Observatory Research Facility.

Bring along your own rug or chair and enjoy Aboriginal dance, music, traditional food by Gerald Power of Indigenous Cultural Adventures, and a BBQ will also be provided.

This is a family event, so please bring along your family and friends.
