A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Charles Sturt University and Trinity Anglican College will allow for the pursuit of innovative educational opportunities for Border students.

This formalisation of the collaboration between the University and College through the MoU marks a significant milestone in what was already a strong working relationship.

The University and College are committed to supporting the regional workforce, promoting their respective facilities, and nurturing cooperative partnerships aimed at delivering sustainable, enduring benefits to the community.

Potential benefits include co-creation of courses and subject offerings that align with industry needs, interprofessional development and leveraging of networks to build relationships.

Charles Sturt’s Director of External Engagement for Albury-Wodonga and Wagga Wagga Mr David Bardos said the MoU aligns with AlburyCity’s objectives during the development of the Thurgoona Wirlinga Structure Plan.

“Together, these strategies are dedicated to ensuring the establishment of a highly effective educational offering for the community, within a dynamic mixed-use precinct,” he said.

“This concerted effort is expected to yield further synergies, particularly in the Thurgoona-Wirlinga area, where both Charles Sturt University and Trinity Anglican College have established prominent and influential presences.

“This MoU not only cements the bond between Trinity Anglican College and Charles Sturt University but also underscores their unwavering commitment to the betterment of the community and the broader region they serve.”

The MoU will ensure collaboration to drive forward student engagement, research projects and programs. The University and College will also work with other educational providers to produce outcomes that are mutually advantageous.

Trinity Anglican College Principal Dr Adrian Johnson echoed Mr Bardos’ sentiments on the benefits of the MoU.

"The formalised collaboration between Trinity Anglican College and Charles Sturt University, as expressed in this Memorandum of Understanding, embodies our shared commitment to advancing quality education in our region, fostering innovative learning programs, and equipping our people with the skills to best serve our community,” he said.
