Charles Sturt University is taking its multi-faceted offerings in agriculture, industry, research and education to the Australian National Field Days.
After a successful showcase at the Henty Machinery Field Days in the Riverina in September, Charles Sturt is showcasing its innovations at the Australian National Field Days in Borenore, 15 kilometres west of Orange, from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 October.
The University is demonstrating how education, research, innovation, community and industry combine at Charles Sturt to produce an array of advanced course offerings, collaborations and research opportunities.
Exhibitions are showcasing drought resilience and sustainable management practices through to the latest collaborations and capabilities of the Global Digital Farm in Wagga Wagga.
Participants are witnessing innovations and current research by the University’s AgriPark and Red Meat Innovation Centre while enjoying boutique wine tastings offered by the Charles Sturt Winery.
AgriPark Executive Director, Innovation and Commercialisation Mr Nick Pagett said this was not the University’s first time attending the National Field Days.
“These are important events for the regional communities surrounding the event, a gathering place for many, and not limited to the farming community,” he said.
“As such it is a great opportunity to showcase Charles Sturt University’s student and academic credentials, profile our research activities and highlight the fantastic facilities to be found on our campuses across NSW.”
Charles Sturt is at site C52 at the Australian National Field Days until the close of the event at 5pm on Saturday 28 October.
