Year 12 graduates are being offered invaluable support to secure their futures at Charles Sturt University with the release of ATAR results just weeks away.

The Charles Sturt University ATAR Advice Days will be held across multiple campuses, including Wagga Wagga, Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst and Port Macquarie on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 December.

Charles Sturt Manager (Future Student Marketing and Engagement) Ms Sarah Heslop said the advice days assisted high school leavers in planning the best path to achieve their dream career through studying at the University.

“We know receiving your ATAR results can be an incredibly daunting but exciting time, and you may have some questions about what it means for your tertiary study options,” Ms Heslop said.

“Our ATAR Advice Days help students learn how best to preference their university courses for the best chance at career success.

“They also assist those with ATAR scores lower than they were hoping for to be able to take different admission pathways, so no one misses out.”

Charles Sturt advisors will be on site at each participating campus to welcome students from 11am to 3pm on Thursday 14 December and 9am to 12pm on Friday 15 December.

Staff and current students will be available to answer questions around what courses are offered, alternatives, and general tips on university life, as well as how to apply for scholarships and residential living.

For those applying to study with Charles Sturt, advisors will also be able to assist with information around how to accept offers and the processes around offer rounds.

Ms Heslop said the ATAR Advice Days were also a great opportunity to meet new people.

“With current students on site to help and other attendees figuring out what they would like to study in the future, the Advice Days are a fantastic opportunity to make new, life-long friends with similar interests and passions,” she said.

“We also offer personalised campus tours to get a general feel for what’s to come.”

The sessions are free to attend, but registration is encouraged. This can be done via the Charles Sturt ATAR Advice Days website.
