Charles Sturt Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Renée Leon, PSM, congratulated all graduating students, noting the poignant milestone of completing a tertiary education.
“Pursuing a university education takes courage, drive and determination,” Professor Leon said.
“Many of our students also have full-time jobs and are caring for children, or have other commitments, so to obtain this educational qualification at the same time is commendable.
“It is wonderful to see a large contingent of international students at our Sydney graduation ceremonies. It is our privilege to be able to facilitate and support their educational journeys in Australia.”
Professor Leon praised the exceptional achievements of the medallists.
“Congratulations to our recent medallists. Completing their studies with a GPA of 6.75 or above is exemplary, which Charles Sturt University is extremely proud of.”
One of the medallists, Dr Chris Walker, juggled many commitments during his journey to achieving a Postgraduate University Medal and was humbled when he was notified.
