The latest round of offers for the Charles Sturt University Advantage program have been issued to students.
Round One of the program received a great response from Year 12 students and their schools, with almost 1,500 offers made from nearly 2,000 applications.
The Charles Sturt Advantage program is a pathway into university before Year 12 students take their final exams.
The program preferences personal attributes such as communication, empathy, resilience and motivation, and takes into consideration their academic aptitude, including Year 11 results, to determine their success as a student and in the workforce.
Successful applicants will gain an insight into what studying at Charles Sturt is like by helping them connect with the community.
Students who received an offer can explore the student portal, attend an event on campus and interact with current students and peers to determine if Charles Sturt is the right university for them.
Health and allied health courses proved popular with the top five courses in Round One applications being Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Paramedicine, Bachelor of Education (K-12), Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Psychology.
There was a lot of interest from students within the University’s campus footprints, with the most interest coming from the Riverina, Central West, Mid-North Coast, New England and North East Victoria.
Project Officer for the Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program Mr Jordan Stewart said students should not delay in accepting their offer.
“The Charles Sturt Advantage program will give students a clear understanding of what studying at Charles Sturt University is really like,” he said.
“Through exploring the University’s services and campus, we hope this engagement will demonstrate to them that Charles Sturt is the right university for them.
“The Advantage program is a great way to secure a place at the University before final exams, ensuring students have a pathway into tertiary education.”
