Statement by Interim Vice-Chancellor Professor John Germov on University's response to flooding

Classes will recommence and staff will return to campus at Charles Sturt University at Port Macquarie from Thursday 25 March.

Weather reports indicate a welcome reprieve from the rain and floodwaters on the New South Wales coast. We will continue monitoring the situation.

Our Port Macquarie campus is safe and not at risk of flood, and there has been no significant damage. As such, classes will recommence and staff will be working on campus from Thursday 25 March.

Please be assured that the safety of Charles Sturt University staff, students and the wider community is paramount, and we continue to encourage everyone to follow the advice of authorities and monitor:

We will assist all affected staff, students and the wider community through this situation and support relief efforts in the coming days and weeks.
