President of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Board Chris Puplick will deliver the final 1999 Bathurst graduation address to graduates from Charles Sturt University's Faculties of Arts and Science & Agriculture on Friday afternoon.
A diverse career in politics during the 1970s and 80s has placed Mr Puplick in the rare position of being able to juggle a range of responsibilities in the government and private sectors.
Aside from his work with the Anti-Discrimination Board, Mr Puplick is also Chair of the NSW Privacy Committee, the Australian National Council on AIDS and Related Diseases (ANCARD), the AIDS Trust of Australia, the Central Sydney Area Health Board, the National Task Force on Whaling and a board member of the Griffin Theatre Company.
A former Senator for NSW, he also held positions from 1987 to 1990 as the Shadow Minister for Environment, Arts, Heritage, Sport, Bicentenary and was Manager of Opposition Business in the Senate.
He has published more than 90 works in journals, newspapers and radio broadcasts including, Liberal Thinking (1980), Up the Greasy Pole (1992) and Is the Party Over? (1994).
