The common challenges facing small businesses in marketing, finance and human resources will be addressed in a new seminar series to be held in Wagga Wagga in 2012.

The Small Business Management Foundation Seminars, hosted by CSU and Wagga Wagga City Council, will deliver ‘short, sharp and engaging’ sessions to small business managers or owners as well as those considering running a small business.

“We have organised these seminars in response to feedback from the local business community of the need for ongoing training and development,” said Dr Lan Snell, CSU academic and seminar facilitator.

Dr Lan Snell from CSU. Dr Snell is a marketing lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing at CSU in Bathurst and is an ex officio Board Member of the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber in recognition of CSU's contribution to the Wagga Wagga business community.

“Charles Sturt University is committed to engaging with our regions to build strong and healthy communities, including the small business sector.  The seminar series is just one way of demonstrating this commitment.

“We have been able to organise these events throughout 2012 due to our strong relationship with Wagga Wagga City Council who is co-hosting the series.”

The new seminar series follows the launch in Wagga Wagga at the end of last year of the University’s Graduate Certificate of Small Business Management.
