• Charles Sturt University is again Australia’s top ranking university for undergraduate employment, with 90.5 per cent of graduates employed full-time
• More than 80 per cent of Charles Sturt’s regional students live and work in the regions after graduation, helping to address critical regional skills shortages

Charles Sturt University has again been named Australia’s leading university for undergraduate employment, retaining its number one national ranking in the 2025 Graduate Outcomes Survey.

The survey, released through the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching, polled over 120,000 Australian university graduates.

Charles Sturt ranked first in the country for full-time employment among domestic undergraduates, with 90.5 per cent employed full-time within four to six months after finishing their courses.

The University recorded strong results in the survey across a range of key measures, including:

• 6^th nationally for full-time employment among domestic postgraduate coursework graduates (91.6 per cent)
• Equal 6^th nationally for median undergraduate salaries ($80,000)

Charles Sturt Vice-Chancellor, Professor Renée Leon, said the results reflected the University’s long-standing commitment to student success.

“Our students benefit from a range of supports that enable them to succeed in their courses, as well as practical learning opportunities with our many industry-leading partners,” Professor Leon said.

“This means that graduates from Charles Sturt University are sought after because
they have the skills and industry experience that employers are chasing.”

The survey also confirmed that more than 80 per cent of Charles Sturt students from regional areas live and work in regional Australia after graduation.

“One of Charles Sturt’s core missions is to ensure that regional Australian communities have a reliable pipeline of the skills they require in the face of persistent skills shortages” Professor Leon said.

“Our courses produce the doctors, nurses, teachers, dentists, physiotherapists, early childhood workers, agricultural scientists and other professionals that are desperately needed.

“These results demonstrate once again that Charles Sturt is supporting the workforce needs of regional Australia.”

The GOS results complement Charles Sturt’s recent success in the latest Good Universities Guide, which also ranked the University first in Australia for graduate employment.
