Charles Sturt University (CSU) this morning acknowledged the public statements of the National Rugby League (NRL) and the Newcastle Knights after an incident in a University residence on the weekend.

The University notes the actions taken against players by the Newcastle Knights and the NRL and the statements of apology from the Newcastle Knights.

The University’s primary concern remains with its students and providing the care and support to its students as they commence their studies at the beginning of the new academic year. 

CSU is continuing to work through its own investigations into this incident and is in close contact with the NSW Police.
