Charles Sturt University (CSU) has encouraged community organisations to apply for grants of up to $1 000 as part of its Rural and Regional Arts and Culture Program.
The small grants program is part of the University's broader Community-University Partnerships (CUP) program and is open for applications from Wednesday 1 July until Friday 31 July.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann said the University's Rural and Regional Arts and Culture Program provides registered community organisations with the opportunity to access grants of up to $1 000.
"The Rural and Regional Arts and Culture Program supports regional arts and culture initiatives and aims to encourage young people to explore artistic endeavours," Professor Vann said.
"Arts and culture provide a unique and invaluable dimension to our regional communities and we look forward to receiving applications from community organisations that support artists in residence, art shows, musical education, talks and lectures, and other related activities."
The CUP Rural and Regional Arts and Culture Program has a total of $25 000 available for allocation across all CSU campus communities. Guidelines and the online application are available from the CSU website.
