Acting Vice-Chancellor of Charles Sturt University (CSU), Professor Lyn Gorman, has offered her condolences to people affected by the devastating bushfires in Victoria.
“The staff and students of the University wish to convey their sincere sorrow at the loss of life and property across Victoria over the past few days,” Professor Gorman said.
Charles Sturt University has a number of past and current students living in the affected regions, as well as staff and students from the Albury-Wodonga Campus in the Beechworth-Myrtleford-Yackandandah area.
“CSU staff and students will work with the community and local, State and Federal government agencies to support efforts to address the devastation,” Professor Gorman said.
Any current or prospective CSU students affected by this tragedy in the lead up to the new academic year should contact Vicki Pitcher in the University’s Division of Student Services. Further information is available here.
