Alumni and community members are invited to attend the launch of the CSU Alumni 'Get Connected' Campaign in Bathurst on Thursday 28 July.

Alumni and community members are invited to attend the launch of the Charles Sturt University (CSU) Alumni ‘Get Connected’ Campaign in Bathurst on Thursday 28 July.

CSU was established in 1989 from the amalgamation of the Mitchell College of Advanced Education and the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education and dates back over 100 years to 1895 with the commencement of agricultural education and research at the Bathurst Experimental Farm.

The Vice-Chancellor and President of CSU, Professor Ian Goulter, will launch the ‘Get Connected’ campaign with a video presentation containing messages of support and congratulations by successful alumni from within the region and around Australia.

“Charles Sturt University has a strong alumni community and we are keen to find out what they are up to and encourage them to remain connected with their University,” Professor Goulter said.

“The main aim of this campaign is to engage with the alumni of the University and its predecessor institutions so they may reconnect with one another and with us.

“The campaign will invite alumni to ‘Get Connected’ with the University using the traditional methods of mail and email, as well as today’s social media platforms of Facebook, You Tube, LinkedIn and Twitter.  We have contact details for over 100,000 alumni and hope to ‘Get Connected’ with as many of them as possible.  The University is offering prizes and benefits to alumni as part of the campaign.”

The CSU Alumni ‘Get Connected’ Campaign launch is at 2.30pm on Thursday 28 July in the Council Room of The Chancellery – Grange Building, at CSU in Bathurst, and will be followed by afternoon tea at 3pm.

Please RSVP by Wednesday 27 July to Ms Jasmine Smith on (02) 6338 4040 or jassmith@csu.edu.au
