Successful applications from Charles Sturt University for the 2002 Research Infrastructure Block Grants were announced this week by CSU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & Graduate Training), Professor Paul Burnett.

The University has received over $450 000 from the Federal Government for developing and maintaining research facilities and equipment and for supporting high quality research.

“The additional funding allows the University to support its recognised areas of research strength.”
Six applications were funded under the scheme, for which applications are invited from all Australian universities.

The successful CSU groups are:

School of Biomedical Sciences $88 600
Johnstone Centre – Research into Natural Resources and Society $30 250
