The University has received over $450 000 from the Federal Government for developing and maintaining research facilities and equipment and for supporting high quality research.
“These grants are nearly double the previous year’s funds, showing that CSU significantly boosted its research performance during 2000,” Professor Burnett said.
“The additional funding allows the University to support its recognised areas of research strength.”
Six applications were funded under the scheme, for which applications are invited from all Australian universities.
The successful CSU groups are:
School of Biomedical Sciences | $88 600 |
Johnstone Centre – Research into Natural Resources and Society | $30 250 |
National Wine & Grape Industry Centre | $121 878 |
Spatial Data Analysis Unit | $23 961 |
Centre for Rural Social Research | $56 717 |
