Charles Sturt University (CSU) together with NSW Police delivers the Associate Degree in Policing Practice, which is the recruit training program for people wanting to join NSW Police. The program provides future police with the skills and knowledge required to be a professional police officer.
 
CSU Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ross Chambers said that the standards were high in the policing course and reflected the needs of modern policing and high expectations of the community.
 
“CSU and NSW Police will not compromise standards. All students who will join NSW Police next Tuesday will have met the demanding professional and academic requirements for entry into NSW Police.”
