Charles Sturt University (CSU) has been advised that the NSW Police have received a complaint involving CSU student residences at the Bathurst Campus on the weekend.
The University initially reported unruly behaviour and damage to University and student property to Bathurst Police on Sunday 20 February.
An investigation of the events that took place was launched early on Monday morning 21 February by the CSU Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor David Battersby.
Charles Sturt University has been cooperating fully with the NSW Police during this period.
The University will progress its own review of the circumstances leading to the alleged incidents. Central to the University’s concerns is the provision of a safe and caring environment for its students.
In light of the complaint received today by NSW Police the University will ensure that its review does not prejudice any further police inquiries.
