The humanitarian work in China of Australian Red Cross worker and CSU graduate Ms Kara Jenkinson has been recognised in the inaugural Australia China Alumni Awards 2009.

Charles Sturt University will this month sign an innovative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost educational opportunities and participation levels amongst Aboriginal Australians, improve health outcomes as well as spearhead important research.

An innovative agreement between CSU and TAFE NSW - Northern Sydney Institute will make it easier for TAFE students in business to become eligible to earn a university degree.

CSU welcomed the announcement today by the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Julia Gillard, MP, that the Federal Government will create a new website called My University to help new students and their parents to make informed choices about going to university.

CSU has welcomed news of a breakthrough in the legislative impasse regarding crucial scholarships for university students, lifting a veil of uncertainty for many about financing their studies.

Four performers who trained at CSU and graduated from its Theatre/Media course have received rave reviews for their respective shows at the 2010 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

CSU will hold three graduation ceremonies in Albury from Thursday morning, 22 April, with 730 graduates eligible to receive their doctorates, degrees, diplomas and certificates.

Bathurst will experience a surge of over 4 500 visitors as friends and family members come to the city to celebrate the graduation of nearly 1 900 students from Charles Sturt University (CSU). Undergraduate and postgraduate awards will be presented at six ceremonies over three days – Wednesday 7, Thursday 8 and Friday 9 May – at the CD Blake Auditorium on CSU’s Bathurst Campus. The ceremonies will be lead by CSU Chancellor, Mr Lawrence Willett, AO.
