Charles Sturt University academic staff will receive salary increases in their next pay packet with the signing of the new Academic Staff Enterprise Agreement.
The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) has signed off on the agreement for a 12.9 per cent salary increase over three years.
Charles Sturt University Vice-Chancellor Professor Cliff Blake said the University is pleased with the results of negotiations that acknowledge the commitment made by academic staff to the University.
"The salary offer made to academic staff by the University is fair and generous in the circumstances and will enable the University to continue to attract academic staff of a high quality, and to increase flexibility to meet changes in market demands.
"The University has been pleased with the outcomes achieved through productive negotiations.
"In light of the outcomes achieved from the current round of enterprise bargaining, I have arranged for the first salary instalment of three per cent and a one off payment of $500 to be paid to academic staff on their next payday on 9 November," Professor Blake said.
