New CSU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Goulter takes up office

Professor Ian Goulter, the new Charles Sturt University Vice-Chancellor, will commence his duties this Wednesday 4 July.

Professor Ian Goulter, the new Charles Sturt University Vice-Chancellor, will commence his duties this Wednesday 4 July.

Professor Goulter, who comes to CSU from a Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s position at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, will spend a period of time meeting with staff and gaining a full overview of the University’s extensive facilities.

Interview itinerary:

  • Professor Goulter will be available in Bathurst for a photo/interview session and to meet local media on Thursday 5 July from 9 to 10 am.
  • He will travel to the Wagga Wagga Campus on Tuesday 10 July and will be available to meet local media from 9.30 am to 10.30 am on 10 July at the Office of the Head of Campus, James Hagan Court, CSU Wagga Wagga Campus.
  • Professor Goulter’s plans to travel to Albury, Dubbo and Goulburn will be announced as soon as confirmed.


The new Vice-Chancellor will reside in Bathurst with his wife Julie and family. He has two children at university and two at high school.
