Professor returns for Albury graduation

For Professor Les Eastcott, presenting the occasional address for this Friday afternoon's Albury-Wodonga graduation for Charles Sturt University could be considered a homecoming.

Currently Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Director of the Central Coast Campus of the University of Newcastle, Professor Eastcott was a familiar sight around Albury between 1984 and 1986 as Deputy Principal and Dean of the School of Management, Technology and the Arts in the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education, a predecessor institution of CSU. He was previously a staff member of the Riverina College of Advanced Education in Wagga Wagga.

Commencing his professional life as a teacher, Professor Eastcott now has academic interests in the fields of change management, strategic planning, designing and developing new organisations and regional development.

He has authored many books and conference papers and has undertaken numerous consultancies in Australia and overseas.

Professor Eastocott is a fellow of the Hunter Academy of Sport, a member of the Australian College of Education, the Australasian Association for Institutional Research and the European Association for International Education, and has worked in USA and Canada as well as Australia.

Professor Eastcott will speak during the afternoon Graduation ceremony on Friday 28 April, which commences at 2.30pm in the Albury Convention and Performing Arts Centre in Swift St, Albury.
