NAIDOC 2014 will be celebrated at Charles
Sturt University (CSU) in Wagga Wagga from Monday 25 August to Friday 29 August
to showcase traditional and contemporary Indigenous culture.
CSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann will launch a new
education initiative on Thursday 21 August to drive home the University's
commitment to sustainability and carbon emissions reduction.
A project that assists NSW communities to protect their local natural
environment and to live more sustainably in their own way will be officially
launched at CSU in Albury-Wodonga on Monday 18
August as part of National Science Week.
CSU looks forward to the NSW Country Eagles taking flight in
the new National Rugby Championship (NRC), announcing a two-year partnership
with the team.
CSU research which has increased
farm profits and improved the environment is part of a project named as a finalist
in the Australian Museum
Eureka Prizes.
A CSU expert in
Australia's meat livestock industry believes prospects for global meat
production are positive, but national government policies, future profitability
and climate change pose challenges.
