The state-of-the-art Interactive Learning Centre (ILC) represents a commitment by the University to the Dubbo community, according to CSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Goulter.
“CSU is a university committed to partnerships with its regions, students and industry,” he said.
“The ILC embodies all elements of the platforms upon which CSU will continue to grow and develop as it responds to the learning needs of our students and communities.
“CSU’s presence in Dubbo shows it can successfully integrate its operations as a multi-campus University. The ILC is also an outstanding resource available to all CSU students of the Dubbo and surrounding regions, using the latest in communication technologies. This development further enhances CSU’s status as a quiet leader in the e-learning environment.”
The Dubbo ILC is part of Professor Goulter’s vision to continue to grow upon CSU’s strengths, which were established by founding Vice-Chancellor, Professor C D Blake AM.
“CSU will thrive by being committed to its regions and, through its research and educational achievements, contribute to the wealth and growth of regions such as Dubbo, while remaining nationally and internationally competitive in our research and teaching,” Professor Goulter said.
Professor Goulter will speak at this morning’s opening of the Charles Sturt University Interactive Learning Centre. The ILC will be officially opened by Professor C D Blake AM.
