Budding technology experts are being offered a boost in their studies with a new scholarship from Inland Digital to study at Charles Sturt University.
The Inland Digital Scholarship is valued at $5,000. It is available to any second, third or fourth-year Bachelor of Information Technology students studying via any mode (on campus, online or mixed mode) at Charles Sturt in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga.
Inland Digital Director Mr Lawrence Breen said the business was started with the goal of providing the latest office technology to Central West business communities. It has been in operation within the region for more than 25 years.
“Despite the technology being simpler back then, we still got a kick out of automating our customers' repetitive tasks or saving time on document production, but recently we’ve started to look for more ways to give back to the community,” Mr Breen said.
“In a recent workshop our team had, we decided that we all want to contribute and give back to the community by helping students realise their dreams and true potentials through this scholarship.”
Development Manager of the Charles Sturt Advancement Office Mr Justin Williams said the relationships Charles Sturt has with its community of supporters are extremely valuable. He expressed thanks on behalf of the university for supporting students to complete their education in such a meaningful way.
“For our students, the university has made the scholarship application process very smooth and accessible for anyone who is curious to find out what scholarship options are available to them,” Mr Williams said.
“It’s easy to find out what students might be eligible for by visiting our Charles Sturt scholarships page to view the extensive list of scholarships available.
“We even have a video on our scholarships page that helps students to look for scholarships that suit their needs.”
Applications are now open for the Inland Digital Scholarship and close at 9am on Monday 10 February 2025.
A total of $11 million in scholarships and grants are now available for students who attend Charles Sturt University in 2025.
“The Charles Sturt community is so grateful for the generous support of our donors,” Mr Williams said.
“Without it, many students would not be able to achieve their dreams of obtaining a university education.”
The University has more than 3,000 scholarships and grants on offer and applications are open for those who are eligible and would appreciate this financial assistance.
