- Charles Sturt opens nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards program
- The program has six categories – Professional Excellence, Research Excellence, Social Impact, Young Alumnus, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Creativity and First Nations Excellence
- Nominations close on Monday 26 May and winners will be announced on Monday 1 September
Charles Sturt University encourages the many alumni making a difference to the lives of others and in their communities to come forward and be nominated for the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards.
Nominations are now open for the University’s Distinguished Alumni Awards, recognising the outstanding achievements and impact of Charles Sturt’s alumni.
Development Officer (Alumni Relations) in the Charles Sturt Advancement Office Ms Naomi Ricketts said the awards are open to self-nomination as well as nominations submitted on behalf of someone else.
“The Charles Sturt alumni body is filled with highly skilled individuals who are using their education and expertise to make an exceptional impact in their professions and communities throughout the world,” she said.
“If you are making a difference and align with the university ethos, we encourage you to apply for the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards. Never underestimate the value of your contributions. You might not realise it, but you're making a significant impact on the world around you.
“Our alumni awards program showcases the incredible accomplishments of our alumni and highlights our position as Australia’s leading regional university.”
The annual awards program has six categories. Guidelines outlining the application process, assessment, and privacy regulations, and previous winners are available on the award website.
The award categories are:
- Charles Sturt Distinguished Alumnus of the Year – Professional Excellence: This award recognises outstanding leaders in their industry or profession who have made or are making a significant and positive impact on their communities, their industry, or the world.
