Charles Sturt University is offering future students key insights into the disciplines and careers that they might be considering studying.
The Charles Sturt Career Discovery Series is an outstanding opportunity for future students to hear first-hand from industry experts, academics and students about the careers they are considering embarking on. Attendees will also learn more about Charles Sturt University’s courses and ask all their burning questions.
The Career Discovery Series offers 10 discipline sessions to choose from and each session has a range of experts who will speak to participants about future opportunities in each sector and hear first-hand what it’s really like to work and study in these industries.
Associate Director, Future Student Engagement and University Events in the Division of Customer Experience in the Division of Students Ms Lorraine Ryan said this is a fantastic series of events which will provide information on what it’s like to work in various essential industries by hearing from industry experts themselves.
“The Career Discovery Series is an exciting new event series at Charles Sturt University,” Ms Ryan said. “It will be a wonderful opportunity for prospective students to gain deeper insights into their potential future careers.
“With our amazing line-up of industry experts, along with academics, current students and alumni, these sessions will give attendees a 360-degree overview of each industry and how Charles Sturt University can help get them where they want to go in their chosen field.”

- Health – 6pm-7.30pm Tuesday 13 May
- Information and library studies – 6pm-7.30pm Tuesday 13 May
- Animal, equine and veterinary sciences – 6pm-7.30pm Wednesday 14 May
- Law and criminal justice – 6pm-7.30pm Wednesday 14 May
- Psychology – 6pm-7.30pm Thursday 15 May
- Agriculture and environmental sciences – 6pm-7.30pm Tuesday 20 May
- Business and accounting – 6pm-7.30pm Tuesday 20 May
- Tech industry – 6pm-7.30pm Wednesday 21 May
- Social work and human services – 6pm-7.30pm Wednesday 21 May
- Engineering – 6pm-7.30pm Thursday 22 May
