Top UK public relations expert to visit CSU

The latest trends and best-practice standards expected of public relations professionals will be revealed during a visit to the Charles Sturt University School of Communication by Crispin Manners, chairman of the UK Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA).

CEO of the highly regarded London consultancy Kaizo, Crispin Manners will meet with students and staff of the CSU School of Communication on the Bathurst Campus next Thursday 29 July. 

It will be his only engagement at an Australian university, during a visit that also includes addressing the PR Institute of Australia’s consultancy conference in Sydney next month. 

Head of the School of Communication, Associate Professor Tom Watson, said Mr Manners’ experience and leadership in the UK industry will provide students with new perspectives and understanding of best practice and industry trends.

“We aim to educate our students in world-standard best practice, so the expertise of Crispin Manners will be of great value to them,” Professor Watson said. 

“Crispin’s experience and leadership in the industry will provide insight into professional expectations and new industry trends.” 

In 2003, the Kaizo consultancy was awarded the Innovative Company of the Year by the Federation of British Industry.

Crispin Manners was appointed Chairman of the UK Public Relations Consultants Association in May 2004.
