Charles Sturt University is remaining COVIDSafe by hosting its second, free, Parent Information Session for the 2022 academic year online.
The session will be held on Tuesday 21 September from 6.30pm to 8pm to give parents of school leavers an insight into what the university has to offer.
It is an opportunity for parents to engage with the university to gain a clear picture of their child’s pathway from high school to university.
The evening will offer a range of insightful sessions, spanning from understanding the application process to learning more about courses and scholarships.
Manager, Sales and Student Recruitment from the Division of Students Mr Matthew Hof said the Parent Information Session is a great opportunity to understand the process of gaining entry to university, including through UAC or early entry.
“Parents and prospective students can find out all the information they need from a UAC representative while also chatting to our team about the Charles Sturt Advantage Early Entry program,” Mr Hof said.
“Course experts and academics will hold sessions outlining the key elements of courses allowing participants to also ask questions.
“Our accommodation team and scholarship staff will also be on hand to talk about the raft of scholarships available at Charles Sturt University and our accommodation options.
“Given the uncertainty of this year and the inability to visit campus, it’s a great opportunity to hear first-hand from our course and services experts.”
Participants can choose to attend two breakout sessions from the seven specialist sessions on offer, which include:
- Arts and education
- Business, justice and behavioural sciences
- Science and health
- Costs and scholarships
- Residential accommodation
- Early offer programs
- Understanding UAC
Each session will have a 15-minute presentation followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
To attend the online Parent Information Session visit the Charles Sturt University website to register your details.
Participants will be sent a link to connect to the session on the night along with a guide to make connecting and participating easy.
