Charles Sturt University (CSU) will wind down its Cheese Factory operations by year’s end.

 

Executive Director of the University’s Division of Finance, Mr Paul Dowler explained the contract with the Wagga Wagga Cheese Company run by cheese maker Mr Barry Lillywhite has expired.

 

“The Cheese Factory is no longer required for teaching or research purposes and given that it has run at a loss, Charles Sturt University has decided not to renew this contract, and will instead focus on activities that are directly related to our core learning, teaching and research".

 

“We wish Mr Lillywhite every success in his future endeavours.”
