Drought package offers limited relief

The federal government's drought relief package will be of limited benefit to rural communities according to Charles Sturt University (CSU) experts.CSU Professor of Economics John Hicks said the current crisis affected whole communities, but the package offered little for those not directly involved in farming.CSU researcher Dr Merrilyn Crichton said poor implementation of previous drought relief had left rural communities sceptical about the current package.
