A Charles Sturt University (CSU) transport expert has welcomed the tabling of a parliamentary report that calls for an urgent improvement of Australia's transport networks and recommends that all levels of government work together. The report by the Standing Committee on Transport and Regional Services has been tabled in Parliament today. It forecasts the demand for freight will double by 2020. Dr Ian Gray, Associate Professor at CSU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, who is quoted in the Neville Report, says the findings are encouraging and he’s urging that the recommendations be implimented.
