The AHRI has accredited CSU’s undergraduate Bachelor of Business – Human Resource Management (HRM) degree, and three postgraduate qualifications; the Graduate Certificate in HRM, the Graduate Diploma of HRM, and the Master of HRM.

Dean of CSU’s Faculty of Business, Professor John Hicks, said that the Faculty considers that external endorsement of its courses is fundamental to ensuring the high quality of CSU programs.

“Human resource management is one of the flagship disciplines of the Faculty,” Professor Hicks said.

“Success in achieving AHRI accreditation gives the Faculty even greater confidence in the success that this discipline area can help achieve as the Faculty strives to ‘internationalise’ our teaching efforts.

“Human resource management has been selected as one of the specialisations that the University will offer when it begins teaching undergraduate business programs from its campus in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

“In addition to outstanding teaching programs, the human resource management team are amongst the most prolific researchers in the University, ensuring that the Faculty is contributing significantly to the learning, teaching and research goals of the University Strategy.”

Professor Hicks also noted that the accreditation of both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in human resource management by the AHRI was achieved by the work of the course coordinators, Ms Maria Farrell and Dr Padma Nathan, with contributions from the academic and administrative staff on the University’s Wagga Wagga Campus.

The AHRI accreditation runs for three years, beginning August 2008.
