Sturt University (CSU) and Study Group have celebrated the 20th
anniversary of a partnership which has seen thousands of students from across
the globe complete their degrees.
CSU and Study Group (previously The Australian Academy) joined forces in 1995 to offer international students a unique opportunity to study CSU Business and Information Technology courses in Sydney and Melbourne.
"The partnership between Charles Sturt University and Study Group has seen thousands of students successfully complete their degree in Australia and take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the Australian higher education environment," Executive Dean of the CSU Faculty of Business, Professor Lesley White said.
"Our Sydney and Melbourne Study Centres have grown exponentially in this time and have seen six undergraduate and eight postgraduate programs in accounting, business and information technology added.
"Our alumni are now working in Australia and around the world; evidence of how we are fulfilling our mission to create job-ready graduates and professionals prepared for the contemporary workplace."
This milestone coincides with a new era for the Melbourne Study Centre. From July 2015 the Centre will be offering courses to domestic undergraduate students in marketing, management, business studies, accounting and information technology.
Director of the CSU Study Centre Mr David Knight believes opening the Study Centre to domestic students will enhance the Centre's presence in Melbourne.
"By introducing places for domestic students to the Melbourne CSU Study Centre we will increasing access to higher education in Melbourne and expanding the unique, highly personalised experience available through a CSU Study Centre," Mr Knight said.
"Students benefit from individual study plans, a careers coordinator and an extensive academic support program, as well as a cross-cultural educational experience.
"Cross-cultural educational experiences are invaluable. Domestic and international students can learn a lot from each other in terms of language, culture, and study style and skills.
"Domestic students will commence at the Centre's new state-of-the-art campus in the Melbourne CBD in July 2015. For more information and to apply visit the CSU Study Centre's website.
