Charles Sturt University (CSU) has reelected its Chancellor, Mr David Asimus, AO, and Deputy Chancellor, Professor Jim Hagan, AM, for another term.
Mr Asimus, who has held the position of Chancellor since 1989, will commence his next four-year term on 9 December 1998.
Professor Hagan has been reelected for his fourth two-year term beginning 13 December 1998.
The role of Chancellor is an honorary position which acts as the Chairman of the Board of Governors.
The Board of Governors is the governing body of CSU which approves policies affecting the University.
The eight community representatives appointed by the Minister for Education and Training, Mr John Aquilina, to the University’s Board of Governors have been reappointed until 30 June 1999.
They are Mr Gordon Beavan, Professor Jim Hagan, AM, The Reverend Angus Ewin, Mrs Anne Brassil, Ms Susan Benedyka, Mr John Mahon, Mr Gavin O’Meara and Mr John Sutton.
