Two Deputy Vice-Chancellor positions, one overseeing academic activities and the other administration, will be created, forming part of a new Senior Executive Group (SEG).
The Senior Executive Group will consist of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Graduate Training) and the Executive Directors of Human Resources and Financial Services.
CSU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian Goulter said the inclusion of finance and human resource management in the senior executive reflects the critical importance of these areas to the ongoing development of the University and the corresponding need for strategic and operational advice.

The four remaining Pro-Vice-Chancellor positions will be deleted from the CSU staffing establishment as each become vacant.
However, the Pro-Vice-Chancellors for Public Affairs, Planning and Development, and Learning and Student Support, will support the move to the new senior structure, becoming members of SEG, to assist in this process.
A new executive position of Dean of Students has also been added to the management structure, emphasising the importance the University places on its relationship with, and support of students.
Each CSU Campus will retain a Head of Campus, who will report directly to the Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Goulter said the new senior executive structure reflects the need for continuous enhancement and renewal of academic activities and administrative and support services to further the development of the University.
