Almost 250 students will graduate from Charles Sturt University (CSU) in Ontario, Canada on Friday 12 June.
The graduating cohort will include 218 Education students, and 28 students from various distance education programs in Policing, Business, Health Sciences and Nursing.
"We are excited to see these students graduate from Charles Sturt University in Ontario and take the next step in their careers," CSU Ontario Provost and Head of Campus Associate Professor Will Letts said.
"We are proud of the contribution our graduates will continue to make to the community of Ontario – they will be our major legacy in the province."
During the graduation ceremony, Dr Pat Dickinson will be awarded a Doctor of Education (honoris causa) in recognition of her contribution to children, young people, and their families and communities in more than 55 years as an educator and advocate.
"Dr Dickinson has been an educator and advocate for over half a century across all sectors of education, from early childhood to higher education," Associate Professor Letts said.
"Dr Dickinson's contribution to society is immeasurable as she has influenced generations of children and educators. She helped to launch both the Bachelor of Primary Education Studies and Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies programs here in Ontario and has provided foundational leadership in both of these programs over the past 10 years.
"Her work is characterised by her ability to navigate between classroom practice, pre-service education, research and advocacy, while maintaining a sharp focus on improving learning and development for young children."
CSU Ontario will also celebrate its 10th anniversary this week. The milestone marks the end of the University's physical presence in Ontario as it transitions to offering online courses only. For more information about CSU Online please visit the University's website.
