New head for police school

Charles Sturt University (CSU) has appointed Associate Professor Tracey Green as Head of the School of Policing Studies, based in Goulburn.

Charles Sturt University (CSU) has appointed Associate Professor Tracey Green as Head of the School of Policing Studies, based in Goulburn.

Associate Professor Green joined the School in 1997 to develop and coordinate the University's investigations programs.

Professor Green has over 20 years police experience and was a Detective Inspector with the Northumbria Police, responsible for serious crime investigation. She is a police negotiator and has conducted major internal affairs investigations and undercover drug operations.

Professor Green completed a Masters degree by research at the University of Northumbria, dealing with human resource management.

She is currently involved in research projects into the handling of investigations into missing persons and internal affairs inquiries. Both studies are funded by the NSW Police Service and the Australian Research Council.

The CSU School of Policing Studies is co-located with the NSW Police Academy at Goulburn in NSW. The School has nearly 50 academic and support staff.

The school offers undergraduate and postgraduate awards in collaboration with the Police Service and other criminal justice organisations.
