A visit to Charles Sturt University (CSU) next month by the Ambassador of the European Commission to Australia and New Zealand Piergiorgio Mazzocchi will give Riverina industry and business a direct insight into Australia’s largest economic partner.
In his role to improve the mutual understanding and information between the European Union (EU) and Australia and New Zealand, Ambassador Mazzocchi will deliver the keynote address at a dinner at CSU Wagga Wagga on Wednesday 13 October.
Organised by the CSU Faculty of Commerce and sponsored by the Wagga Wagga Business Enterprise Centre, the dinner aims to attract members of the CSU community, local business and industry representatives as well as the wider community.
“This visit to CSU and Wagga Wagga is an ideal opportunity for key players from the Riverina education and business community to engage with Ambassador Mazzocchi and through him the latest developments in the EU,” said Dean of CSU Faculty of Commerce Professor John Hicks.
During his visit to Wagga Wagga, the Ambassador will also tour the city, including the CSU Winery and Cheese Factory.
The dinner will be held from 6.45pm in the CSU Convention Centre, Wagga Wagga. Tickets are on sale for $40 or $50 from Saturday, 25 September by telephoning (02) 6933 2753 or (02) 6933 2658.
