Charles Sturt University (CSU) continues to be rated well in the 2008 edition of The Good Universities Guide which has been released today.

The Vice-Chancellor of CSU, Professor Ian Goulter, said this is another pleasing assessment of the University.

“CSU is rated highly across a range of categories for Entry Flexibility, International Students, Access by Equity Groups, Graduate Employment and Graduate salaries.

“The 2008 Good Universities Guide notes that overall, our entry requirements, special preparation programs, distance education, multiple campuses and ethos combine to make CSU a very accessible institution,”  Professor Goulter said.

“We continue to provide a strong alternative for students wishing to study at a university of inland Australia, and our graduates enjoy high employment rates and high starting salaries.

“Our major campuses in inland NSW offer students a secure and clean environment, as well as state-of-the-art facilities and systems.

“The continuing development of CSU courses to meet the workforce needs of regional and inland Australia will strengthen our communities and enhance our research capacity.

“For example our health courses such as podiatry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing and midwifery, biomedical science are increasingly popular, and the soon to be established School of Dentistry and Health Science will help to ease the dental crisis,” Professor Goulter said.
