Ms Nabi moved from New Delhi to Wagga Wagga in 2011 with her husband and her young daughter to study risk management in the Australian pharmaceutical industry.
Ms Nabi said, “I love regional Australia. I really enjoy being involved with students, representing them in various clubs like the International Students Club and the Islamic Student Association.”
The research student is also the postgraduate student representative on the University’s Faculty of Science Board; a student mentor for students who commenced in 2013; a member of CSU Green and Australasian Campuses towards Sustainability; and is involved with the CSU Health Promotion Group.
In the broader community, Ms Nabi is actively involved with the local Cancer Council and is involved in organising local multicultural activities.
The PhD student was nominated for the Awards by University Student Support Officer, Mr Chris Roche.
