Studying in another country has given Keamogetse Poane not only promising career prospects, but also prepared her for future challenges.

Known to her Australian friends as "K", Keamogetse recently graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management from Australia's leading regional university, Charles Sturt University.

It was a rewarding and challenging 18 months for K, who left her parents' home in Botswana to study and experience a different culture at Charles Sturt University's Wagga Wagga Campus. Nestled among native Australian bushland, the campus is only minutes from the city centre and provided K with some comforts of home.

"I had other universities to consider. But Charles Sturt turned out to be the university that suited me and the weather in Wagga Wagga was particularly appealing because it's similar to the climate at home," she said.

"I have matured so much since I've been at CSU and I now know I can face the challenges of life a lot better. I'm excited about going home."

With her time in Australia coming to an end, K will return home to three job offers and a fresh outlook on life, she said.
