Charles Sturt University (Charles Sturt) Open Days have returned after more than a decade and the campus in Wagga Wagga will host future students and community members on Sunday 11 August.
The Open Day in Wagga Wagga will give school leavers, online students and postgraduates the chance to immerse themselves in university life before enrolling.
Future students will hear from academics about a range of courses, tour teaching facilities and accommodation, and explore the Wagga Wagga campus’ state-of-the-art facilities, including the Veterinary Clinical Centre, equine centre, photography studio, animation lab and nursing simulation centre.
Representatives from Charles Sturt’s student clubs, including Veterinary Technology Association, CSU Hockey Ducks, RAD Club, Animal Science Association and Momentum, will be present on the day.
Charles Sturt’s new Director, External Engagement for Wagga Wagga, Samantha Beresford, is excited to attend her first Charles Sturt event since starting in the role on Monday 5 August.
“I am excited to welcome potential students onto the Wagga Wagga campus,” Ms Beresford said.
“Visiting the university you want to study at is a great way to get a feel for the campus, the community and your chosen course.
“Charles Sturt invites all students, their families and curious community members to come and see what the University has to offer.”
The Charles Sturt Open Day in Wagga Wagga will be held on Sunday 11 August, with a morning session from 10am to midday and afternoon session from midday to 2pm.
Students can also apply for the new early entry program, Charles Sturt Advantage, on the day.
There will be competitions, giveaways and free food - including nachos, burritos, paella and doughnuts - all day.
Open Days are crucial to the University’s recruitment process but are also part of the overall strategy to connect to the University’s local communities.
