Charles Sturt University is again the proud sponsor of the popular ‘Brew and Bite’ event at the 2023 Bathurst Winter Festival.
The annual festival runs from Saturday 1 to Sunday 16 July, and locals and visitors are urged to rug up and brave the winter chill to enjoy a range of seasonal attractions.
Charles Sturt Director of External Engagement (Orange and Bathurst) Ms Julia Andrews said the University is an enthusiastic supporter of Bathurst events.
“The University is really pleased to be involved again with this year’s Bathurst Winter Festival and to be the major brand sponsor of the Charles Sturt University Brew and Bite event on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 July,” she said.
“The Brew and Bite is such a fun showcase of our region’s produce with international food stalls as well as delicious, mulled wines, spiced ciders, local gins and craft ales from some of the region’s best vignerons, brewers and distillers.”
The University will have two stalls at the Brew and Bite – one showcasing Charles Sturt University wines, and the other with merchandise to give away with current students on-hand to help answer any questions from the community and people considering studying at Charles Sturt.
“Our students and staff love being part of the Bathurst Winter Festival,” she said. “It makes us so proud to belong to the Charles Sturt University family and to live in such a vibrant community.”
The University has booked an ice-skating session for its students and staff on Wednesday 12 July from 7pm as a way of supporting and thanking its dedicated and hard-working people.
“Our students will also be involved in an outdoor radio broadcast at the Charles Sturt University Brew and Bite, adding to the atmosphere of this exciting initiative by Bathurst Regional Council,” Ms Andrews said.
