The Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, visited Charles Sturt University in Bathurst to tour its communications, engineering and paramedicine facilities.
Her Excellency was joined at the Bathurst campus on Friday 2 August by Member for Bathurst and Shadow Minister for Police Mr Paul Toole and Adjunct Professor of Law at Notre Dame University Dennis Wilson.
Charles Sturt staff and academics, including Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences Professor Lewis Bizo, Director of External Engagement (Orange and Bathurst) Ms Julia Andrews and lecturers in engineering, communication and paramedicine, led the dignitaries on the tour around the Bathurst campus.
The tour commenced in the engineering building, then moved to the paramedicine building and then communications, with each stop providing the guests with details on the University’s course offerings in those fields.
Her Excellency also met with students during the tour where she was shown the University’s upgrades to the communications precinct, including the new podcast and television studio.
“We were very pleased to welcome the Governor of NSW to Charles Sturt University in Bathurst and have the opportunity to showcase our facilities,” Ms Andrews said.
