Charles Sturt University in Port Macquarie recently hosted a group of international education agents for a familiarisation tour of the campus to learn more about the University’s facilities and course offerings.

The Charles Sturt Office of Global Engagement hosted 19 agents from locations including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and onshore Australia.

Charles Sturt Director of Global Engagement Ms Eleanor Mitchell (pictured addressing the agents dinner) said the familiarisation trip provided participants with first-hand experience and insights into the educational opportunities and resources available at the University in Port Macquarie.

“The familiarisation trip was an enriching experience for the 19 international education agents to acquaint them with the offerings at the campus in Port Macquarie,” Ms Mitchell said.

“This included showcasing the diverse range of courses available and highlighting the state-of-the-art facilities that contribute to the unique learning environment at the campus.

“We also showcased the wider scenic beauty and other attractions of Port Macquarie and the Mid North Coast region plus welcomed guest speakers from our various community and industry partnerships.”

The familiarisation trip in November included an awards night celebration to acknowledge some of the top performing agents as well as rising stars.

Representatives from the Mid North Coast Indian Association attended the awards function to meet education agents and highlight the local cultural associations engaging with Charles Sturt international students.

Among a range of social activities was a sunset cruise on the Hastings River estuary and a visit to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.

Expected outcomes from this familiarisation tour include growth of applications and enrolments from these agencies.

The attending representatives were from various prominent education agencies, including:

AECC Global, AMS Bridge Blue, Beinton, Bluesky Immigration and Students Consultancy Services, Da Di Overseas Studies Service Centre, Emergence Education, Expert Education and Visa Services, Global Consulting and Business Services, KBA Global, KIEC Global, Merit Education and Visa Services, OEVS Oceania Education and Visa Services, PFEC Global, Progress Study, Visa Alliance, Yes Education, Elixir Educational Consultancy and ENZ Education.
