- Charles Sturt University in Albury-Wodonga will host an Open Day on Sunday 13 August for prospective students, their families and the wider community
Prospective students hoping to study at Charles Sturt University in Albury-Wodonga can explore everything it has to offer as the campus opens its doors to the public next weekend.
The Charles Sturt Open Day will take place on Sunday 13 August from 10am to 2pm at the campus in Albury-Wodonga.
Charles Sturt Director of External Engagement in Albury-Wodonga Mr David Bardos said this year’s Open Day would give students a very real insight into life on campus, promising to showcase academic excellence and innovation at Charles Sturt.
“This immersive event provides a unique glimpse into the nurturing of future leaders and bright minds destined to contribute to society’s progress and advancement,” he said.
“It’s not just about observing from a distance – you get to personally interact with our student ambassadors and dedicated staff, gaining invaluable insights and understanding of the supportive learning environment we foster.”
Mr Bardos said the Open Day will also assist those who have received early offers through the Charles Sturt Advantage Program (CSA), which provides a pathway into university for Year 12 students before completion of their HSC exams.
“We also encourage students intending to study online to register and attend so they can learn more about studying with Australia’s most experienced online university,” he said.
“Charles Sturt University has 100 per cent online courses to get you where you want to go, from short courses to full bachelor’s and master’s degrees.”
The main expo will be held in building 754, with most information sessions held in building 751. Tours around the campus, accommodation and learning facilities will also be offered throughout the day.
The courtyard area will play host to a range of activities and live entertainment, as well as food and drink vendors including Pimientos Paella, Slinky Spudz, donuts from Happy Cats, and Monumental Ice cream. Entertainment to be provided by Oz Entertainment DJ and PA.
Mr Bardos said students will also have the chance to engage with local sporting clubs and community groups, including PCYC, Red Cross, Uni Bible Study, Brave Hearts Dragon Boat Club, NSW Department of Education – Teach NSW, Wodonga Institute of TAFE, Charles Sturt Winery, RSM Australia, Cross Fit Happy, and Fire and Rescue NSW.
“Students will be able to meet representatives from our industry and community partners and gain valuable perspectives on how our University bridges the gap between academia and the professional world,” he said.

Throughout July and August the University will host dedicated Open Days at Charles Sturt in Albury-Wodonga, Port Macquarie, Bathurst, Orange and Wagga Wagga.
