
During the 2013 Citi NSW Wine Awards, Gold Medals were awarded to both the Charles Sturt 2009 Reserve Sparkling and the 2012 Charles Sturt Shiraz.
CSU Winemaker Mr Andrew Drumm said, “We’re always pleased with a result from the NSW Wine Awards, as the quality of competition and judging is high, and it is great to showcase how good NSW wines are.
“The 2012 Shiraz was from a pretty difficult vintage, but we always had faith in it, while the 2009 Reserve Sparkling has gone from strength to strength, showcasing a speciality of ours.”
It’s been a strong few months for the Charles Sturt 2009 Reserve Sparkling.

Produced in the University’s commercial winery at Wagga Wagga, the Charles Sturt 2009 Reserve Sparkling is 70 per cent Pinot Noir and 30 per cent Chardonnay from grapes grown in the cool climate of Tumbarumba.
The 2012 Charles Sturt Shiraz is produced from fruit grown at CSU in Orange as well as in Gundagai.
