Charles Sturt University has announced its first round of artificial intelligence (AI) and cyber executive education masterclasses.
The Charles Sturt Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Futures Institute (AICFI) is offering the masterclasses through its Trailblazer Academy.
This initiative responds to the growing demand for accessible, flexible, and relevant lifelong learning opportunities tailored for active professionals seeking to stay ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of AI and cyber innovation.
Teaching Lead at the Charles Sturt AICFI, Dr Selasi Kwashie (pictured, left), said the launch of the executive education masterclasses is a significant leap toward providing professionals with the tools they need to thrive in the fast-paced world of AI and cybersecurity.
“Our first two masterclass offerings are particularly exciting as they delve into fields at the forefront of innovation, addressing timely questions with real-world applications,” he said.
The Trailblazer Academy’s approach to executive education introduces ‘knowledge bites’, a postgraduate micro-sized and modular learning experience crafted to swiftly equip professionals with specific skills aligned with their career goals.
The masterclasses address the increasing demand for accessible, flexible and relevant lifelong learning opportunities suited to active professionals and executives from middle management up within organisations.
Each five-day masterclass allows participants to connect with experts and key speakers to gain insights and access valuable resources.
The first two of a series of masterclasses offered are ‘Behavioural data science and human-data interaction’ and ‘Algorithms and emerging technologies’.
Dr Kwashie said the ‘Behavioural data science and human-data interaction’ masterclass is designed to provide a practical and interdisciplinary understanding of the merging fields of behavioural sciences and computational approaches.
“By integrating insights from psychology, economics, sociology and business with computer science and mathematics, the course aims to enhance participants’ abilities in modelling, understanding and predicting human behaviour,” he said.
“Algorithms and emerging technologies cut through the noise and hype of emerging technologies to present an unbiased view of the advances in machine learning (ML) and AI, as well as an objective emphasis on the roles of the new techniques in modern business.”
The masterclasses are open for enrolment now with ‘Behavioural data science and human-data interaction’ commencing on Tuesday 18 January 2024 and ‘Algorithms and emerging technologies’ to commence on Monday 29 January 2024.
The masterclasses cost $1,111 per person. If organisations would like to organise group sessions they can contact the AICFI to obtain special pricing. At completion, participants will receive a digital verifiable badge from the AICFI.
